Just as Adam(a.s) is the Father of all human beings, so is Satan the father of allJinn (genies) and just as there are believers and renegades (nonbelievers) in humans, so also there are believers and renegades (non-believers)in the Jinns also. Allah created man from dust and water, and Jinns fromsmokeless fire:
He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery.
And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke: Quran: 55-14,15
Allahcreated man the best of His creations, and asked His other creations to bow toman. All of them conceded but Satan was very haughty and vain and refused andthought himself too high and did not want to obey the Great Lord Almighty;hence, the Lord cursed him forever:
62 He (Satan) said "Seest Thou? This isthe one whom thou hast honored above me! If Thou wilt but respite me (give metime) to the Day of Judgment I will surely bring his descendants under my swayall but a few!"
63 Allah said: "Go thy way; if any ofthem follow thee verily Hell will be the recompense for you (all) an amplerecompense.
64 "Lead to destruction those whom thou canst among them with thy (seductive)voice; make assaults on them with thy cavalry and thy infantry; mutually sharewith them wealth and children; and make promises to them. But Satan promisesthem nothing but deceit. Quran-17:62, 63, 64.
118 Allah did curse him but he (satan) said: "Iwill take of Thy servants a portion marked off.”
119 "I will mislead themand I will create in them false desires; I will order them to slit the ears ofcattle and to deface the (fair) nature created by Allah." Whoeverforsaking Allah takes Satan for a friend hath of a surety suffered a loss thatis manifest (obviously, distinct, & noticeable).
120 Satan makes them promises and creates in them falsedesires; but Satan's promises are nothing but deception.
121 They (who succumb to Satan) will have their dwellingin hell and from it they will find no way of escape.

Persons whotake Satan for a friend are such ignorant people who have betrayed themselvesand their dignified stature which their Magnanimous Lord ordained for them tothe wretchedness of the fire of hell. Little do they know that however great bethe promise of Satan, it is only deceit to entice them towards hell and itstortures. Also on the other hand Satan would never fulfill his promise eitherin this world or the next; and a great pity it is to find the majority of thepeople of the World are waylaid and cheated and betrayed by Satan to be burnedand tortured in hell; because Satan shows them perversity, obscenity,indecency, depravity, debauchery, cheating, fraud, dishonesty and disgustingthings far more attractive and beautiful to the eyes of the majority of thepeople than honesty, discipline, righteousness and gratefulness; but people wholove God Almighty see through this or regret and repent and come out of satan’sevil and save their noble origin in which God Almighty created them andordained for them (the best of ALL CREATIONS);
Those who(truly) believe fight in the cause of Allah, and those who reject faith fightin the cause of evil: so fight ye against the friends of Satan: feebleindeed is the cunning of Satan. Quran-4:76
Jinns i.e (satan) are lower creations than human beings.
Some peoplethink that the Jinns are a greater and a more sophisticated creation of God –this is absolutely wrong for Allah says in the Quran that the humans are thebest of Allah’s creation and also all the revelations were given and revealedto men and Jinns thru the Prophets who were all chosen from the humanbeings and not the Jinns; thus clearly delineating that men are far moresuperior than Jinns.
There are a lot of Islamic scholars who say that Harut and Marut(mentioned in the Quran 2:102) were devils. I cannot understand this as to towhy they say so for Allah clearly states Harut and Marut were two angels; angels in the sense that they were two very pious and righteous men wholived in Babylon and these men taught an art which was very risky and theywarned people against learning it; and dissuaded people fromlearning it saying that they themselves were trials and learning and misusingthese knowledge (arts) would instantaneously make them Kafirs(disbelievers) – we should understand that IF Harut and Marut weredevils, they would not have given this warning; they would have encouragedpeople to learn it and also would have urged them to misuse it as much as theywant for that is what Satan and his associates are for – to make as many peoplekafirs as possible; hence, there was no necessity for them to warn peopleagainst learning and misusing this art; and also Allah clearly states that itwas only Satan who learned this art and perverted it and taught sorcery to thepeople. Allah also clearly states that they (Harut and Marut) never taughtsorcery to anyone.
A lot of people say that such and such Alims have made Jinns astheir Slaves and that they are very very powerful because they are helpedby Jinns who carry out their commands, - this is absolutely a very wrongopinion. No man or woman could ever enslave a Jinn, for the Jinns were subduedonly for Sulaiman(A.S) (king Solomon) and after him there was never anyone whocould enslave a Jinn, for Sulaiman(a.s) asked God to help him have a kingdomthat none after him would ever have; and one of the traits of this power isthat God gave him a whip made of fire to control the Jinns. None other than himwere ever given the like to tame or command Jinns. The whips we have are allmade of dust (sand) and with this we would never be able to enslave a Jinn, whoare created with fire. On the other hand, it is men who become slaves to Jinns(satan) by trying to get petty fulfillments thru Satan (Jinn) thus becomingslaves to Jinns. In doing so, they sell their souls to Satan to get their whimsand fancies satisfied – but in the end, they would only know that they weredeceived and fooled treacherously and tremendously and not a single promise oftheirs were fulfilled; for Allah says in the Quran –
But Satan promises them nothing but deceit. Quran-17:64
`True there were persons among mankind who took shelter with personsamong the Jinns (became slaves to Jinns) but they increased them in theirrevolt (against Allah). Quran: 72:6
At the time of death, Satan would snatch their souls and takethe souls to be his servant to serve satan till the last hour is established;and people who succumbed to satan will only know that all that satan promisedto them were all foolish tricks of satan and all they got from satan were onlytremendous cheats of satan. Allah says –
And they learned what harmed them not, nor what profited them. And they knew that the buyers of (magic) would have no share in the happiness of the Hereafter. Andvile was the price for which they did selltheir souls (to Satan) if they but knew! Quran: 2-102
Allah saysfor all the whims and fancies they thought Satan would give them, they soldtheir souls to satan – and in the end, they would know that Satan did not givethem anything except deceit; and miserable and vile was the price they werepaid for the souls which they sold to Satan.
God wants toupgrade, dignify, elevate, and honor people and make them enter most ecstatic,blissful, and respectable abodes; and Satan on the other hand wants to deprave,degrade, dishonor, and thrust people into ignoble, torturous, burning hell. Godgives you a way to attain what He has for you, a way most pure, most trustworthy, clean, faultless, chaste, unpolluted, and uncorrupted and Satan givesyou the opposite way to this. All the Messengers of God appeared to show youGod’s way and warn you against Satan and his treacherous ways – from thebeginning of the Universe, there has been just ONE and ONLY WAY – the right wayto God and Paradise and this way has been renewed and cleansed and Religion purifiedtime and again by Prophets of God when they were corrupted or polluted bypeople and the final purification and revelation was done by Prophet Mohammed(s.a.w)and Quran a faultless and pure revelation to date which has not beencontaminated by the treacherous Satan and his associates. Anyone with CommonSense and Wisdom would gratefully acknowledge with gratitude the Magnanimous Benevolenceand Bounty of the One Great Lord and follow them to Victory and Success in thisworld and the next. – Then again it is your TOTAL FREEDOM to take what you want;and follow The Great Lord or Satan.
